About the Author

St. Louis de Montfort (1673–1716) was a French Catholic priest, theologian, and missionary known for his deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. His most famous work, True Devotion to Mary, teaches that the surest way to Jesus is through Mary. He promoted Total Consecration to Mary urging believers to surrender everything to her so she could lead them to Christ. Montfort saw Mary as the most perfect means of attaining holiness and union with God. His teachings influenced many saints, including St. Maximilian Kolbe.
