Religion Courses
Our Homeschool Religion Courses provide a thorough and doctrinally sound education in the Faith for children enrolled in National School, or supplementing another homeschool curriculum.
Available by popular demand! Our Homeschool Religion Only Courses offer a complete 36-week course in the Catholic Religion for Irish children–for use at home. Our home-study Courses are specifically designed to inspire our children with Wonder and Awe for their Creator & His Church, as our children learn to know, love and serve God. Our main objective at The Hedge School is to make sure all of our students are well grounded in the Catholic Faith. We accomplish this by providing daily lessons in the Bible, the Catechism and the Lives of the Saints. We encourage our enrolled families to pray with their children regularly and help them understand the Mass. We want our students to grow in the virtues infused into their souls at Baptism.
Our Religion lessons should only take about 15-20 minutes per day, for 4 days per week. They are scheduled at a relaxed and engaging pace. For books used in our Religion Courses, browse our listings here.
Infants: Religion Only
At this level, we use short lessons and an engaging illustrated Bible and Lives of the Saints to introduce our children to the Faith.
Primary: Religion Only
In First and Second Class, we use the lovely Highway to Heaven series. We prepare our children for the reception of the Sacraments and ensure that they know and love Our Lord and His Church.
After First Communion, we switch to the acclaimed Our Holy Faith series. This classic textbook series ensures a thorough understanding of and devotion to Jesus, Our Lady–and our Faith.
In Fifth and Sixth Classes, we continue to build upon our knowledge of and relationship with God. This culminates in Sixth Class Religion, wherein we prepare the child to receive Confirmation and become a Soldier of Christ.
