After the publication of the Novena to the Holy Face, written by the late Rev. Father Janvier, many faithful readers expressed a wish for something similar that could guide them through an entire month of prayer and reflection. They wanted a simple but quality way to spend time each day contemplating the Holy Face of Jesus and growing closer to Him in prayer.

This little book, The Month of the Holy Face, was written in response to that request. It offers a daily meditation for each day of the month, giving readers an opportunity to pray, and meditate on Christ’s love, shown in His Passion and Death. Each meditation is meant to be brief enough for daily use, yet rich enough to encourage deeper thought and devotion.

Whether used during a quiet moment in the morning, as part of the evening family prayer, or alongside the beautiful Novena to the Holy Face, this book can help make devotion to the Holy Face a part of our everyday prayer life. Our hope is that these meditations will bring comfort to the sorrowful, strength to those who are struggling, and, most importantly, a deeper love for Our Lord and devotion to His Passion and Death.
