Father Mateo, a priest of the Sacred Heart, traveled throughout the world preaching about the love of Jesus and promoting the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in homes and families. He also strongly encouraged the practice of all-night adoration. Many people wanted to spend the night in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, but this was not always possible. Some churches were so crowded that there was no room for everyone, while others lived too far from their parish to attend easily, or others had pressing family obligations. Father Mateo therefore offered a simple solution: bring the spirit of night adoration into the home.

Night Adoration at the Home is a practical booklet introducing this form of devotion. It guides families and individuals in setting aside part of the night for prayer, meditation, and loving reparation to the Sacred Heart. Even without being physically present in a church, the faithful can unite themselves spiritually with Our Lord and keep watch with Him.
