This Course is suitable for the child homeschooling with another Curriculum or for Irish children living abroad and looking to include the Irish language in their studies. Following on from the material we studied last year in First Class, we continue reading and writing in Irish. In Second Class, we strive to revise and solidify the information learned in First & Second Classes, and prepare to begin studying Grammar in Third Class.
The study and love of our native language is a very important subject. We encourage children to really love Irish by selecting a relevant and engaging textbook. We provide parents complete translations to the text and answers to the exercises in our custom-made Answer Key (included in your Course Manual). We also help both parents and children with their pronunciation and reading abilities with a phonics text designed for the Gaelscoil environment. Additionally, we work on our reading and vocabulary expansion with the delightful and vintage Soilse series.

Placement: This course is intended for 7-8 year old children. It is suitable if your child completed First Class Irish (at school or with us).
New to Irish? The course can also be suitable for the 8-9 year old child who is just beginning Irish for the first time.
